Coordinator.
Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA
Job responsibilities:
1. Communicate and collaborate with overseas factories on a daily basis
to ensure their strict adherence to time-critical deadlines for all bulk
production requirements.
2. Maintain Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports to ensure all bulk production
deadlines are met.
3. Monitor and troubleshoot all production assignments.
4. Define and enforce quality control production standards with regard to
quality consistency, construction and component integrity.
5. Coordinate with buyers, product designers, shipping/logistics, quality
control and component vendors to guarantee all production requirements are
met on time based on external and internal needs.
6. Maintain project files and data.
7. Ensure all products pass all pertinent product testing requirements.
8. Understand and ensure account-specific bulk production, packing and
delivery requirements are satisfied to avoid charge-backs.
9. Track all projects and maintain an up-to-date understanding of all
projects at all times.
10. Provide periodic reports to management team.
Background and Skills Sought:
1. REQUIRED: Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese (speaking,
reading, writing and typing).
2. REQUIRED: A minimum of two years of related work experience; must
possess a working knowledge of the consumer goods manufacturing industry.
3. PREFERRED: Bachelor’s Degree (education or training in consumer
merchandise development or production, fashion design and/or related areas).
4. Microsoft Office know-how, particularly in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
5. High attention to detail.
6. Strong project management skills.
7. Must be very organized.
8. Multi-tasking abilities, as will be responsible for multiple projects
with concurrent timelines, each at different phases of the production cycle.
9. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and
external clients (e.g., factories and buyers) via e-mail and/or phone.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
11. Ability to think outside of the box in solving project issues as they
arise.
12. Outstanding analytical skills.
13. Must be able to work in an environment with a heavy emphasis on
