上个月起诉的，法庭说2月25号开庭。
可是昨天和今天分别收到了他两封律师信，
第一封说： motion to dismiss
第二封说：
You are hereby notified that ont he 23 rd day of April, 2008 at 9 am, or as
soon as thereafter as consel may be heard,
I shall appear before the Honorable Holly F Clemons or any Judge sitting her
stead in Countroom "D", of the Champaign county
Courthouse, 101 E Main, Urbana, Illinois, and then and there proceed to a
hearing on the motion to dismiss.
啥意思？ 是说改期了？
明天不用上庭了？
我不懂法律，也没钱请律师。所以请大侠指点一下，这到底是啥？ | r*******r

does this mean they postpone the date from Feb 25 to Apr 22?
So they won't show up tomorrow?
I really don't have money to hire a lawyer. I actually loaned all my money
to him. and i can not get a free lawyer from school because they dont
handle the case between two students.

free one from school is better than nothing.

我自己去的法庭，问怎么起诉，人家就告诉我说，填个表，交钱就行了。
所以我填表，交钱之后就走了。等着明天开庭。当然证据都在我手里了。
但是昨天收到他的律师信，
提了几个理由：
1是我没有指出when
2是没有how
这个家伙借的钱
3是没有起诉书
所以要求dismiss

不过现实生活中肯定和学的有很多不一样
不过听起来问题不大:即使他们说得有道理(你的complaint确实应该包括那些细节),你让
然可以向法庭file amendment to pleading,一般在这个阶段法庭都会批准
上网去搜一下complaint应该怎么写,很容易的,没学过法律应该都能写

这些基本的东西都不知道，这个这个，就自己出庭，还是比较恐怖。

你当地法院local rule的规定。

much. Just clearly lay down the reasons and supporting facts in response to
each of his basis to dismiss your case, and say the case should not be

describe in sufficient detail the events that give raise to your cause of
action. (Date, time, amount, circumstance, who said what to whom, etc.) It
seems to be a contract case. Is your agreement in writing? Some courts
require a copy of the contract if it is in writing.
As fullyvested said, check your local court rules, and also the civil
procedure for your state. Since you are a pro se litigant (representing
