First time home buyer credit
Child Credit
Making Work Pay Tax Credit.
If you are married, has double middle income, have kids, one spouse make more than another. Married filing separately may save you tax.
It especially benefit those who has kids, and bought house before Nov 2009,
and $8000 credit may just be wiped out by reachin | v***e 发帖数: 77 | 2 根据我自己读head of household的定义,不能claim head of household.

876 | 9 IRS set the rule and filing option. IRS has different tax credit and set
complex limitation. You follow the tax law and pick whatever the best filing
status and what tax credit you can get. Most family will not get benefit by
filing separately. But for double middle income family, having kids,
especially eligible for first time home credit in 2009, this may save by
having one person claim some child credit, first time home buyer credit.
2009 is very special tax year due to special tax credit!

dependent care assistance program is limited to $2,500 (instead of $5,000 if
you filed a joint return). For more information about these expenses, the
credit, and the exclusion, see chapter 34.
