IRA的$20K(两个人,首次买房),请问这样的想法有问题吗? | j***k 发帖数: 2719 | 2 it is risky to take out a 401K loan, because if you ever leave your job, you
have only 90 days to pay it back without tax penalty. For the next 2 years,
you should contribute only to the max of your company matching, not a penny
more. When you buy the house, don;t touch 401K.
not too sure about IRS rules on withdraw...

| k******o 发帖数: 3328 | 3 401K loan is good option if you could keep your job and pay back on time
since interst charged will be paid back to yourself. If you don't have a job
, either you pay full back within certain days, or regarded as withdraw.
If you withdraw, you have to pay 10% penalty and income tax, assuming you
have not reached 59.5 years old.
If I remmber correctly, you could (hardship) withdraw a certain amount (i.e.
$10K) if you are first home buyer without any penalty.

马还401K LOAN(最多5万)。
