I want to know that if I can directly use the 3D Solidworks file ( *.sldprt,
*.sldasm) in the ANSYS workbench to perform the FE analysis. As you know,
it is difficult to draw complex geometry in ANSYS without the Designexplorer
of workbench.
I transferred Solidwork 3D file to IGES file. There are some problems of
surface generation in ANSYS.
Thanks again.

c*********5 发帖数: 5813 | 6 you can try cosmoswork, it's an addon of solidworks purely for FEA
sldprt,
Designexplorer

Also, there is a research engineer position in OH, see the article in this
ME board. Try it! |

I have comsmoswork, but the FEA functions are very limited.

what you want. |
u*****e 发帖数: 16 | 11 You can try *.sat or *.igs. I used *.sat to transfer drawing from AutoCAD to
ANSYS.

Parasolid and IGES files transfered from Solidworks are different from the
original file, and it also depends on the way you drew in Solidwork. ANSYS
workbench might be better.
