Sorry that I can not type in chinese here.
My background: Solid mechanics through my whole education, graduated from
department of mechanical engineering with Ph.D
I received two offers after 4 month contract job. One offer is still a
contract job as a structural engineer, which would focused on the FEA on
frame, convyor, will get in touch with more stuff on Civil Engineering
Another job is a full time, regular job as mechanical engineer. Job function
will be mostly on machine des | a***a

. Companies usually provide more trainings to full time employees. And if it
is a big organization, you have more chances to move into roles of your
interest.

Stonerose, Can you talk a little more about why machine design is better?
Adina, I totally agree with you that the regular full time job make provide
more trainnings, which is very attractive to me. But the company is not big
and I don't know if I will have chance to get into what I like in the future
, that is why I am in hesitation.

意思，另外Civil engineer在美国的工资比较低，以后涨工资也比较有限吧。所以
要是我选就选machine design。当然也要看你的个人兴趣了。
