can be expressed by same constitutive relations.
gas, if the free distance is still within "continua", their constitutive
equations can also be deduced from more general continuum theory.

对于ME来说，control的实现需要借助EE的手段。
这里面有一个接口的问题，单独的EE和单独的ME
都无法实现现实中的control。

give us an example.
Tranditionally, civil contains structures, hydraulics and geotechnics.
i guess you are in one of above-mentioned fields.
however, for job sakes, a lot of "traditional" civil people jumped to
transportation, it's in fact not a CIVIL ENGINEERING study, but an
operational or mathematical research.

FEM originated from Galerkin's method in mechanics,
now it's been used in everywhere where problems can be modelled by
PDE's, such as in finance, in biomedical, in geophysics, every
branch of physics, etc..

吧。。
不管在国内还是国外，大多数学校里面机械工程是比力学大的多的一个范畴，无论是指
系还是学院的规模。国外许多学校很可能没有力学系，但理工类学校基本都有机械工程系.
许多力学系的同学申请国外学校都入的是国外的ME/AME/CIVIL....
