and he had surgery immediately. In a recent check-up examination, he had a
blood test and the results are:
CEA 3.07
AFP 9.22
FERRITIN 445
My question is: the Ferritin level (铁蛋白)seems higher than normal, is it an
indication of cancer metastasis? Your kind help will be greatly appreciated!

ferritin can be seen in acute inflammatory response, like another acute
phase reactant, like a poor man's sed rate or c-reactive protein, i don't
think it is used as a tumor marker for follow up, doesn't mean cancer is
spread or recurred or anything
