after hearing that I have pain in my intestine ...Does anybody know what is
the fast way to know the result. and price?
I am feeling very bad and want to go to emergency room and dont want that
long time. Seeing doctors is damn slow process in the US. | t*******n
发帖数: 4445 | 2 Generally, CT gives much more information than X-ray. A lower abdominal CT
costs something like $2k, I guess.
ER is not the way to go. You should ask you doctor why he/she ordered the
CT (e.g. I had one last year, the doc said it was to rule out a very specific disease), and
1. If $$ is the concern, ask about cheaper alternatives;
2. If pain is the concern, ask about possible ways of symptom relief. It's
possible to do that without CT results.

2k to 4K. x-ray is around 500.
The worst thing is when i called the doc, i was only able to speack with his
nurse. He's always out for "business". I had ultrasonic, stomatch (forgot
the name) procedure. I have been waiting for the shedule for at least 3
weeks. And yet no clues had come out.
I have to say 'the medicare system' in US really sucks. I support Obama to
have a new policy on this.

visit if they don't follow up. If it's really bad, consider changing doctor
when it's convenient.

what happened, so he had suggest a lot of test including CT scheduled next
Monday. So I need to see a surgery specialist?

wrong place. Should see a Primary care doctor first..... This is my first
time seeing a doctor. Many errors have been made by myself. But I really
hate the doctor I met anyway.
