the search for Yingying!
Our dear friend Yingying Zhang went missing on June 9, 2017. She had
recently moved to Champaign-Urbana, IL as a visiting scholar at the
University of Illinois. She was on her way to meet a potential landlord that
day. Surveillance footage shows her entering a vehicle. She was never seen
again.
Yingying’s mother, father, brother, aunt and boyfriend are in the U.S.,
working with the FBI and local police to bring Yingying home. The family has
pledged to stay until they can bring Yingying home.
The search for Yingying is ongoing. The FBI considers this case to be a high
priority. They have found who they believe is Yingying’s abductor, and he
is being tried in a federal court. The local police are also working on
finding Yingying. The University of Illinois police department posts updates
on their search online, at http://police.illinois.edu/search-updates/.
Yingying’s family appreciates all of the support provided by the Champaign-
Urbana community and around the world, including many people in China.
Without your support, Yingying’s family would not have the funds to remain
in Champaign-Urbana. This is critically important, as they need to be here
in order to meet with the FBI, meet with local law enforcement, attend all
hearings of her alleged abductor, and physically go out and look for
Yingying when they receive a tip. They have used these funds for travel,
communication expenses and housing in the U.S.
The family creates and participates in events that bring attention to the
search for Yingying. Your support on this page helps support the cost of
these events, the cost of fliers and other costs related to the events and
materials needed to search for Yingying.
The family has pledged $50,000 for tips related to the search for Yingying
and the arrest and prosecution of anyone who hurt Yingying, including

the search for Yingying on the minds of everyone. The family cooperates with
all media outlets interested in covering the search for Yingying, and they
have, in fact, given many interviews. The family tries to keep this story in
the news so that the search continues.
A Yellow Ribbon Campaign started by the University of Illinois on August 22,
2017, allows you to publicly display your support of the search for
Yingying! An image of the yellow ribbon is below.

A trust has been created for the funds being raised by this page. The
trustees are individuals located in Champaign-Urbana, IL, who are familiar
with the community and who have come to know of Yingying and her family. The
trust holds the money that funds the Crime Stoppers award. The trust also
assists the family with routine expenses that allow the family to remain in
the U.S. during the search for Yingying, and they assist the family with one
-time expenses, such as flier for a prayer vigil for Yingying. The trust is
funded by money raised by this GoFundMe page.
The family has no US ties and they are constantly seeking support for others
, so they are working with their attorney, the U of I's public relations
office, three additional pro bono attorneys, translators, and others as
needed. When they can, they get as much help as possible for free. The
family's expenses are their basic living expenses while they search for
Yingying, legal expenses, travel expenses, and other support costs.
Finally, Yingying supported her family financially with her work. The family
has lost this form of support. The fund can be used in the future to
replace the income the family would have received from Yingying, were she
still able to support them.
The search for Yingying has not stopped. We wish the search was still on the
front page of every newspaper and still being covered by the nightly news
every single night. Even though people don't hear about the search, the
search is still ongoing. With your help, the family and its supporters will
continue to search for Yingying.

作为律师从一个新的角度谈一下章家gofundme圈钱的事
我是律师，看到章家律师以下关于用gofundme圈钱的目的以后我彻底无语了：

美国每天都有许许多多的犯罪受害人也都是家里的顶梁柱，甚至唯一收入，很多受害人
留下的还是年幼的孩子，而不是自己有手有脚有劳动能力的父母和成年的弟弟， 根据
章家这种无耻的逻辑，这些无数受害人都该去gofundme讨钱，而且都比他们更该被公众
养一辈子。可章家的这种索钱的方法既没有道德上的也没有法律上的依据，我下面讲一
下为什么
我这里要讲的一个新的视角就是美国每个州都有一个Crime Victim Compensation Fund
, 政府管理的犯罪受害人赔偿基金，专门赔偿犯罪受害人（一般是有人身伤害的暴力犯
罪受害人）的经济损失（out of pocket economic loss)。至于什么样的经济损失可以
由这个基金赔偿都是每个州的议会写出来的法律，经过多年的议会讨论的，所以说这个
基金的赔偿种类非常全面详细，把能想到的该赔偿的都包括进去了，但是， 就这样，
人家也不赔偿养老钱！这个基金只赔偿replacement of prospective income of the
deceased victim for the victim's dependents! Dependents一般是受害者的孩子！
章美美的父母，成年弟弟，小姨，和那个所谓男友没有一个会qualify as dependents!
所以说，法律上都认为赔偿养老钱和所谓对家庭未来收入的影响（除了对受害人孩子
的）都是站不住脚的！而且犯罪受害人的赔偿基金是从来不会报销basic living
expenses基本生活费的（而看章家的做法就差手纸没从捐款报销了）
但非常重要的一点是，如果章家对伊州犯罪受害人赔偿基金申请赔偿的话，他们在
gofundme圈到的钱会被政府用来抵消他们从基金应得的赔偿，就是说他们如果应该
qualify从政府基金领取3万块赔偿，但是因为他们在gofundme接受了10几万捐款，他们
能从基金领取的赔偿就为零,这可能可以给被骗的善良的公众一点安慰。但是一般Crime
Victim Compensation Fund有赔偿上限，我们州是5万，伊州也应该差不多吧。因此，
章家从gofundme圈到了10几万呢，所以他们顶多就损失政府的赔偿基金几万块而已。
现在这个律师这样措辞把章家用自己女儿的命来换钱这个目的赤裸裸的暴露了，这个律
师必须这样写才能讲余款全部装进他们家人的腰包。所以他是明知道这样写法律上道德
上都很无耻，他也只能这样写，因为章家显然就是说不出我们不要吃人血馒头
