Anti-idling laws create a danger for truck drivers. While it's illegal to
force a pet or a child to stay in a hot car, many truck drivers are forced
to eat, sleep and live in hot trucks. When the outside temperature outside
reaches 90 degrees, the temperature inside a truck can climb as high as 120
degrees. Preventing a driver from idling is not only dangerous, it could be
deadly.
Green Police are pricks! Enough said! I was in New Jersey in a winter storm,
2010, idling at a rest area and a Green Police told me to shut my truck
down due to the "no idling laws". I questioned them why I couldn't idle yet
their vehicle was continuing to idle while they harassed truck drivers.
They said they were working. Well guess what? So was I! As a matter of fact,
I was not only working in this rig, but I also LIVED in this rig. They didn
't care about my welfare. I then told them I had a pet in the truck. I idled
to maintain a safe temperature for my pet. They said that was ok and left.
The pet I had was a god damn fly that I couldn't get out of my truck! The
fly had become my pet after staying in the truck for 7 states. If you ever
are told to shut your truck down, tell them you have a pet in the vehicle
with you. You don't have to show your pet to them. You just have to let them
know you have one. | m**********2
