I was logging on to my Citibank account today when I saw an ad that
basically says that you can earn up to $400 in gift card for opening a
checking account with them. Getting the $400 offer has too many requirements
for me to meet. But getting $200 is easy IMO. All you do is open their most
basic checking account and sign up for direct deposit, bill pay and for
electronic statements. This is to avoid $10 monthly service fee. I asked
about the direct deposit requirements and the rep told me that even if I had
a DD of just $1 the fee would be waived. Bill pay is also easy because it's
free and i have to pay bills anyway.
