W********s 发帖数: 2256 | 1 UPDATE: Looks like the unexpected happened: Greg Mattison indeed left the
NFL for the same position at Michigan, returning to Ann Arbor to become DC
under longtime friend Brady Hoke. The irony? Mattison's move was supported
by Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh. "He came into my office," Mattison
said of Harbaugh, "and said, 'The job you've done here is unbelievable, but
I would understand if you went to Michigan because it's Michigan. I would
understand because it's Brady Hoke.'" Michigan fans only wish that John had
had a similar conversation with his brother, Jim. | c**********o 发帖数: 1941 | 2 Enn, not good news for us.
Mattison also served as co-defensive coordinator and defensive lines coach
for the Florida Gators football team for three years, including the 2006 BCS
National Championship team | d*****1 发帖数: 1837 | | j**y 发帖数: 7014 | 4 really?

Jack Harbaugh at Westen Michigan. They have strong ties with Harbaugh family
. Harbaugh's both OC/DC this year were from Michigan families. So they have
strong ties to Michigan too.
Mattison's defense has been solid at Michigan, ND, Florida. He missed two
National Championships right after he left the program, 1997 Michigan and
2007 Florida. Maybe Ravens will be SB champ next year, haha.
Vance Bedford has turned down the Florida's DC offer and follow Strong to
Louisville. People believe he has very strong tie to Strong, so if he turned
down Florida, he would very likely turn down Michigan as well. |
