You could look at wikipedia. Maybe you read/heard about Witten's recent work
on 3-dimensional gravity. I lost track of that work, any new development? | y***n

ything about it except for the fact that it is finite and nonabelian, but wi
th a large number of elements. And I was also told it is related to the 2+1d
gravity, but I've no idea how that works out. That's actually why I was ask
ing this question here.

interesting and not hard to read if you don't care about the details.
