Why? it is so important, it showed if you are a J1 visa holder, the most
important and most emergency thing is file your I-140 even in first year.
If your publication is very good, you can file EB1, if not excellent, you
can file EB2-NIW, although it takes more than 5 years to get your Green Card
. After file your I-140, then you can consider your J1 waiver and H1B. For
EB1, if your case being approved, no need H1B visa, you can receive your GC
directly.
The sooner, the better is my suggestion. The later you file your I-140, the
more time and more money you wasted, the more difficult you will face.
