Postdoctoral Position in Aquatic, Electrolytic or Geochemistry
The position is open for a motivated post doctoral candidate to study
oilfield scale control of carbonate, sulfate or sulfide type mineral salt
nucleation, precipitation and inhibition. The candidate may also be
involved in research related to the long-term impact of CO2 injection to
geologic formation for CO2 storage and application of nanotechnology in the
oil and gas operations http://brinechem.rice.edu/. The ideal candidate should be versed in the electrolyte and surface chemistry, geochemistry and have some experience with kinetics experiments and surface analysis, self-motivated and genuinely interested in academic and industrial research. The position is for one year and is renewable upon mutual consent.
