This is my second one. I have an injury in foot since October. So nov and
dec were wasted and did not run much at
all, maybe average 15 miles a week. Until Jan, I gave a last try and see if
I could run this ma race in feb. I was
planning a 15 miler on Jan 2 but eventually finished 20. My foot didn't
bother too much. But it never got better! I ran
some long runs like 15, 20 miles. My foot was ok i thought but not sure. I
struggled till two days before the race, I was
not sure if my foot would allow me finish the race.
The last few miles, my left foot felt numb, at times, I couldn't feel it.I
kept going, A friend of mine was chasing me. I
just could let him go.
I did it. Finished the race with winning a trophy and a check of $75.:)
