dong University , Shandong Medical University (SMU)and Shandong University of
Technology(SUT). The merger of this new university was on July 22, 2000, under
the approval of the Ministry of Education. The University will be under the d
irect supervision of the Ministry of Education and the joint construction and
administration of Shandong Provincial Government.
