My comment: Come on, Shenzhen? As long as Renminbi is not freely convertable
and foreigner can not buy or seel stocks in Shenzhen stock exchange, that
city is hopeless.

in US, Europe). Some experts said it would be LEGAL for China to do that. So
I do not know legality of the complaint, particularly now that I have not
read it.
As for sanction and export control, I simply assume it is legal, for no
nation has ever complained about it, including China. | O*******d 发帖数: 20343 | 3 If the US has legal right to have export control, China should have the same
right. China can decide what raw material to export, what not to export.
China can even decide to which country to export, to which country not to
export, as the US is doing. | c**i 发帖数: 6973 | 4 I have more time to reflect, as well as to do a cursory online research on
economic sanction and export control you raised.

There was reports that punishing tariffs were payback time for labor unions:
labor unions played a key role in Obama's defeat of Hillary Clinton in
Democratic primaries (as well as in the general election against John McCain
) and now is teh time for the president to reward unions.
However, this VOA report adds a new wrinkle.
