Is big unemployment jump a bad sign for the stock market historically? can u take a guess before check the chart below? how far could the market dip/rally in week or three months?
unemployment rate goes back as far as 1948, but i could only get its release date since 1960. just did a quick study if the unemployment rate jumped more than 0.5%. It suprised me a lot just as the rate suprised us today.
