make sense for them to start some Model III production around the same time
to mitigate production ramp risks. the Model III uses a new chassi, a new
motor and therefore will have higher volume production risk than the X. it
will makes sense to first produce a small number of the III in the early
months to allow any mass prodution problems to present themselves. sometimes
you have to make a few hundred or even a couple thousand cars to identify
those problems in your produciton line.

发帖数: 19471 | 17 第三季度时候他们retool那个生产线，目的是让这个线既可以生产S也可以生产X。这个
retool的过程比原先预想的长了俩礼拜，导致第三季度少生产了2K辆车，也就导致全年
delivery从35K降为33K台。本来也许可以加快第四季度的产能提升把这2K给补回来，但
是最近发布了Dual Motor，前后装两个不同的马达，同时还要装一堆的sensor以便可以
提供autopilot功能。因为这些新增的复杂性，产能提升起来就没那么快，所以就不能
把那2K给补回来了。
不过这都是无关紧要的信息，你没懂也不打紧。

钱。
