position is, a Christmas bonus they'll never forget.
Employees say the company issued the generous pat on the back for a job
well done throughout the year.
All 1,380 employees at Hilcorp, one the largest privately held oil and
natural gas exploration and production companies in the United States,
received a $100,000 Christmas bonus this year.
"It's just a true gift and I don't think that myself along with everyone is
not going to give less than 100% every day" said receptionist Amanda
Thompson.
Hilcorp was named on the 2015 'Fortune 100 'Best Companies to Work For'
list
for the third year in a row.
Thompson says that in 2010, the company met a 5 year goal, and all
employees
were treated to the choice of a $50,000 car or $35,000 in cash.
"It was surreal, it was a dream come true" says Thompson.
She plans to keep the money in her bank account for a rainy day
