it's about 2.5 hrs drive from DC, right outside philly (close to the airport

friend from far away, teacher tan, parx runs 15/30, not easy to find outside
AC on the east coast.
philly is not bad either, given that i need to come home on fri., i
selfishly want a shorter ride.
you guys can play on for the whole weekend anyway, all casinos cracked! DE
park -> harrahs philly -> sands -> parx -> borgata, ... man, you name it.
of course, i will be playing somewhere in the caribbean too, lol, but i
heard the lowest game they have is $5/5NL, no sh*t, hit and run i guess.

play cards, we would have stayed at Commerce or go to Vegas. More important
to meet friends, hang out, etc.
We just don't know geography between Parx and Harrah's, so not sure where we
should book our hotels. Some folks gave us a poker rate code for a Parx
hotel called the Inn or something (used to be a Hilton I think?), seemed
super cheap ($50 a night). We can also use company rate at any Hilton/Hyatt
/Marriott in the Philly area - also starting from Monday my LP is there for
work so company will pick up hotel and rental car tab.
We probably will just taxi prior to Monday so prefer to just stay at close
to wherever the gathering is. Let us know when you decide, we'd like to
book hotels by the end of the week :) |

around 6 PM or so at Philly airport (Fryking!!!). If no one wants to meet
around Philly Airport and/or Harrahs, we will just go check in to hotel and
hope there are people meeting up Friday. If there are no organized meet-up
on Friday, just ping me here if anyone wants to meet up since we'll be
around all weekend.
By the way, the hotel near Parx normally has a rate of ~100 dollars a night.
Using the Parx Poker promo code it goes down to $59. If you book online
the code actually makes it $110, but if you call in the hotel directly they
honor the code. |
