1) where did you get the tickets? how much it is?
2) where did you book the hotel at wakiki beach? how much?
3) I have 70 old and 2 year old, do we need to rent a car?
3) If I just want to stay in Ohau, how many days are needed?
4) Is it still possible to book a condon near Wakiki now for the end of Jan.

through BA mileage points, cash value should be around 600/person
we first flew to Maui and stayed for 5 days, and then to Honolulu from Maui,
booked inter island round trip flight + hotel through hotwire for about $
1000 for 5 of us for 3 nights (not a deal at all in my opinion), hotel is
Aston Waikiki Sunset (2 blocks from the beach), and the room is at lower
level with so so view, but it does has a kitchen.
I suggest to rent a car, even the public transportation is good, going
places in a car is more comfortable, especially with kid and senior folks,
and if you plan to cook by yourself, you can easily drive to Costco or
Foodland, you can save a lot by not eating out, which is somewhat expensive
if you do so with a group of 4 or 5 people. the Mu Gua from Costco is the
best I've ever tried, and the sushi at FoodLand is very tasty! BTW. Of
course with rental car, you will need to pay for parking in Waikiki area, in
my case, $15 a day.
5 days
Day 1 - just relax and get familiar with the area, do some grocery shopping
and maybe play at the beach
Day 2 - Pearl Harbor (it will take almost a whole day, we went to USS
Arizona and USS Missouri, a Chinese speaking tour guid is provided for free
at USS Missouri, he name is Kevin from Beijing, very nice guy, remember to
bring water!)
Day 3 - PCC (another whole day, you will get back to hotel around 10:30pm,
very tired and sleepy), you will arrive at PCC around noon, but drive 3, 4
miles further down the road to visit the famous Giovani's shrimp truck!
Day 4 - recover from PCC trip in AM, go snorkeling somewhere in PM(this is
not on my plan)
Day 5 - shopping, packing and get ready to go home.
my suggestion, don't do everything in one trip, you WILL be very tired after
a long day of sightseeing.

One more question: in your answers, you mentioned that you stayed at Aston
Waikiki Sunset hotel and it has a kitchen. So is that a standard hotel? I
have 4 adults and want to know if we can do it in a condon with two beds
instead of two standard hotel rooms, which might cost more. So did you just
book one room for all with a kitchen?

can be converted to a queen size one, and another king size bed in bed room,
you can also ask for a crib for the young.
