Despite efforts by numerous groups and the presidential campaigns to get
people to vote early in person, only about 3,000 people had done so in
Cuyahoga County through Friday afternoon.
"I expected more this week, based on the hype and the phone calls we
received about early voting," said the county elections board chief, Jane
