just like if people of color were allowed the same career opportunities
there would be no point for affirmative action. you have to be blind, deaf
or brain-dead to not see the racism in this country and Chicago told America
they weren't afraid tonight. They stood up to hate and it was gorgeous |

asked "What happened to freedom of speech? What happened to the right to get
together?"
This, the person who's supporters have been suppressing the voices of those
who disagree with their views with chants and an increasing amount of
violence, asked what happened to freedom of speech and the right to assemble.
What happened? Nothing. People assembled. People voiced their opinions. It
just so happens that for once this election cycle you and your supporters
weren't the loudest in the room. |

protest. In the 4 hours I was outside I saw two incidents with trump
supporters instigating fights and hurling racial slurs as well as themselves
at protesters. We did great, and I'm SO proud of Chicago for this overall
PEACEFUL event. |

are a country of imigrants and native Americans. Protest peacefully, non-
violently so the message is clear and resounding.
I do mean bigotry. Bigotry that prevents any meaningful conversations on
opposing views. People have been kick out of those rally for doing nothing
but wearing a t-shirt defending against hatred and racism, not saying a word
. That is intolerance. |

me and my friends. I'm very proud of my fellow UIC students and others who
came together to stand up to Trump and is hateful campaign. Tonight I saw
protesters stopping fights and asking everyone to be peaceful. Fights were
instigated by Trump supporters, they came over to our section screaming at
us, and got in our faces. Yet, every 2 minutes protesters were being thrown
out, when they were the ones getting physically harmed. This just goes to
show that Trump's campaign is about instilling violence and racism. |

to do with Romney. From the moment the rally was announced students at my
school have been outraged. UIC is one of the most diverse schools in the
nation. Chicago itself is also extremely diverse, so when a bigot comes to
speak we do not react kindly to that. Our intention was not to shut the
rally down, it was for Trump to have to look out and see all the Muslims,
Hispanics, and black people he speaks against. We wanted him to say it to
our faces, and he couldn't. So please, do not speak on things you do not
know about. Thanks. |
