a*********a 发帖数: 3656 | 1 why can't DACA people go through normal visa programs?
they did violate the law. but to be compassionate and forgiving to the "kids
", this can be overlooked and they can be granted legal F,H visas to US
which they would otherwise be disqualified.
those very young must be adopted by legal US residents and be treated the
same as other adopted kids through legal ways from foreign countries. By law
, adopted children CANNOT sponsor bio parents for immigration.
Ignoring the fact that they entered illegally, those at school can be
granted F-1 visa and be treated the same as other legal international
students that came legally, i.e. obtained an F-1 visa before entering US. F-
1 needs a legal resident sponsor who must show proof of funds. F-1 can NOT
receive need based scholarship, only merit based. Must maintain GPA of B and
above. This potentially is a path to citizenship.
Ignoring the fact that they entered illegally, those working can be granted
H visa and be treated the same as other legal H visa workers. The employer
can sponsor employment based green car if they choose to, again ignoring the
fact the employee entered illegally. This potentially is a path to
citizenship.
Ignoring the fact that they entered illegally, those working but not
eligible to H visa, like those doing low skilled works, can be granted some
new category of visa. Multi years, multiple entries. this way they do not
need to hide in US during off seasons and can go back home to reunite with
family and come back again the next year. Must show tax forms on renew.
Again, if one find other ways to obtain permanent status or citizenship,
good for him.
In the mean time, chain immigration must be limited to only none adult
children/sibling, spouse and direct parents. no adult siblings. | T**********1 发帖数: 2406 | 2 They are illegals.
If a law can be broken at the whim of a sitting president, why bother having
laws, or making new laws?
What is the point of having a Congress to make laws and having an Executive
Branch to execute the laws?
What is America if laws can be broken with no consequences?
If existing Immigration laws can be broken with no consequences, why bother
with making new law on chain immigration, immigration reform, immigration
this or that?
Why bother? The new law too can be broken any time with no consequences, as
the old law was and still is being broken.
Why bother?

many kids actually died on the road trying to get into DACA and how many
unsupervised kids fell pray of gangs and organized crimes.
like the welfare shit, once given out, it is extremely hard to take back.

| T**********1 发帖数: 2406 | 6 People compromise/negotiate when they make laws, so they can have a law.
If they negotiate on whether to follow the law after the law is made, is
there still a law?
If we all go elect a POTUS that compromises on existing law, what are we
supporting?
