Jerry Sloan will resign as coach of the Jazz on Thursday, The Salt Lake Trib

The team is planning a press conference at 3 p.m., Sloan said, without enter
taining further questions. Assistant coach Phil Johnson also is expected to
resign.
The shocking development comes comes the morning after Sloan was involved in
a long discussion behind closed doors with general manager Kevin O'Connor,
following the Jazz's 91-86 loss to the Chicago Bulls at EnergySolutions Aren
a. Sloan appeared visibly shaken after the meeting, and would not discuss wh
at was said.
O'Connor declined interview requests, and team executives Greg Miller and Ra
ndy Rigby did not return phone calls.
The 68-year-old Sloan is the longest-tenured coach in American professional
sports, having led the Jazz for 23 seasons. His career record - including a
stint with the Bulls - is 1,221-803, ranking as the third-winningest coach i
n NBA history. Sloan also played 11 years for the Baltimore Bullets and the
Bulls. |

know if they could do better than what they have though. It won't happne if
LHM were still here.
But any coach coming in would make the game more fun to watch although they
may not win more. |

虽然说最近输的是勤了点，也没必要跟斯隆这么唧唧歪歪的。
不知道交易球员是教练决定还是经理决定？
如果是经理，搞来bell简直就是败笔，AJ也不够给力。
感觉korver走了之后没有投手了，okur还萎着呢，现在的板凳除了miles其他都不行。
爵士这么打下去，应该还是能进季后赛的，反正也是第一轮就挂，爵士也不缺球迷，钱
也不少挣，你个经理唧唧歪歪个啥。
斯隆都到这个份儿上了，不是为别的，就是为了篮球。 |
