Title Statistical Modeler
City Orange
State CA
We are seeking a Statistical Modeler to assist in reviewing and developing
complex predictive models at our Orange, California location.
This position requires candidates to have a Masters degree in Statistics and
at least 1 year of modeling experience. Any potential candidate will be
proficient in scorecard development, data transformation, and segmentation
analysis.
Candidates should be able to clearly communicate and work well with people
at all levels of the organization. Excellent compensation and benefit
package.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist senior personnel to deliver statistical models for the Originations
and Collections department.
Undertake knowledge discovery and data mining in large transactional
datasets.
Help maintain custom variables created using internal data as well as
external sources.
Perform data extraction, transformation and loading from multiple data
sources.
Maintain analytical datasets to support statistical modeling.
Under the direction of the manager, develop solutions for monitoring and
reporting model performance, quality and reliability.
Assist in the execution of all phases of modeling projects: identifying the
business problem, data exploration, modeling, communication of final results
, post implementation monitoring.
Work closely with other team members in the Risk Management Department to
create vintage analysis and loss forecasts.
Collaborate with various departments.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
MS in Statistics or equivalent
1+ year of experience with statistical modeling and data mining
Experience with SAS and SQL
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong written and oral communication skills |
