For those who are new to the prepaid scene, here's the lowdown:
1) No contract. No paying monthly bills that come out to $600/ year.
2) 5per minute, 2per SMS, and 10per MB. Way cheaper than T-mobile/ AT&
T/ Net;s 10per minute
3) Phone is CDMA and run's on Sprint's natural
4) Once you get your phone and airtime card, you can port your current
number free from your current carrier (porting takes 2-3 days after request
is put in).
I'm not a dealer or anything and do not have any incentive to benefit from
this. Just thought I would create a post since I saved $130 the last 3
months since switching from T-Mobile (first from T-mobile's postpaid family
plan to T-mobile's prepaid to Platinumtel). I've been happy with the
reception and got on this again to get a free spare phone.
Please no flaming on the merits of postpaid vs prepaid.

Free LG Rumor Phone Details
- Handsets are refurbished. I got a blue refurb LG Rumor the last time
around and it looked brand new. Still working fine after 3 months
- Real Paygo Service is prepaid. And yes, we agree, a free phone on prepaid
is a whole lot of crazy.
- Shipping costs us money, but it's free to you!
- Phone supports voice calling (duh!), SMS, and Web. It also sports a 1.3
Megapixel camera and a QWERTY keyboard your thumbs will surely find useful.
- $100 card gives 365 days of service (that's a full year for those who like
to round).
- How much is $100 of Real Paygo worth? Up to 2,000 minutes to talk, up to 5
,000 texts, or up to 1,000MB of mobile web.
