发帖数: 1542 | 3 排名８００多是很好的学校了。我们买得算比较好的学区（十分的学校），可是高中根
本排不上号（1500名以后吧）。那两所好学校要考的， 那个所在区太恐怖了。

的镇上。
不过仅仅从硬件和升学的角度看，８００多和１０００多的高中，似乎也没什么明显区
别。

I never heard of lottery in NJ/NYC
kids have to take academic tests and send in application to be considered,
of course u have to live in the place that public high school serves

我一直以为额外考试的都是private high school
public的就是按片区+lottery

偏高
而charter school和magnet school附近的区却不一定这样，所以猜测楼主所说的那两所
高中应该是属于charter school或magnet school。

出了1000。隔壁很荒的镇有个国家实验室，据说那里的高中能排到300名。不过离孩子
上高中还有很多年呢，谁知道到时候在哪啊。 |

问题是这两所magnet school 所在的ISD的其他学校（除了一个特别豪宅区）都特别滥
， 不太有中国人印度人买在那里。那两所super学校老黑，老墨比例很高。我猜小孩子
在那里排top10比在中国人印度人扎堆的排名全美一千的学校也许还容易些呢。

压力是很大，不过他成绩很好，所以信心爆棚，竟然在申请MIT的时候没有要求面试，
直接导致被拒，:(((

每个学校去高中招人好象都有QUOTE的，据说UVA每年在TJ招２００个人左右，这两年经
济不好，很多本来可能去私立的都去了公立的，所以他就没戏了，其实如果呆在HOME
SCHOOL到是有可能去。我们邻居的孩子今年要考了，他就呆在HOME SCHOOL，不愿意去
TJ，看看他怎么样了

而且我们是高中还好, 小学不好, 所以以后多半高中要回来上公立, 小学还得上私立.
