看national网站上写可以用异国驾照租车，
但是又写如果驾照上语言非英语，则需要同时持国际驾照。
中国是没有国际驾照的。
不知能否租车？
另，我是新的中国驾照，
上面有效日期、出生日期等栏目都有对应英文，
这些栏目的内容也只是简单的yyyy-mm-dd，所以应该可以看懂。
但是姓名，性别等项目名称虽然有英文翻译，
可是项目内容却是全中文，
包括有效期限，也是写的“6年”，
不知会不会有问题。
有没有人只用中国驾照成功租车过，在national？ |

, group activity (publication) of your future postdoc advisor will be the
most important factors to be considered. I know quite a few persons go to
academia after postdoc in national lab or company research lab.
The good thing of national lab is the pay is quite decent.

university, 不要去national lab，因为national lab做的东西介于 academic 和
commercial 之间，可以说是两头不讨好。如果你打算在national lab里当个permant
staff, 那没问题，而且最好是去那些大型的 user facility,不用担心funding. |

毕业。在美国的学校不好，ECE系，排名估计100左右。老板也不牛，中国AP，我是他第
一个学生。我读phd期间有过几篇paper，和牛校当然没得比，但在我们那个level的学
校还算不错；但说实话，做的东西挺垃圾，自己对自己这个phd不是很满意。。现在有
个机会，是去lawrence livermore national lab做summer intern,然后很可能post-
doc。自己现在很矛盾，到底去不去？
其实觉得自己有两条路：1.马上全力找工业界工作（也是本来的想法），学校这里就写
个dissertation准备毕业；2.答应去intern，然后可能3年的薄厚。第2条路的问题是现
在开始就得很认真的和national lab的合作了，会比较忙，没什么时间找工作。我对
research感觉一般，做事情比较慢，但是写文章还行。有经验的达人能说说national
lab的薄厚工作怎样呢？ |

Yelp 上面对这家的评论特别低，说这家是加盟店，老板是一个雪佛兰的 dealer, 所以
他们round trip 的车只有雪佛兰。。各种颜色的雪佛兰。。one way 区会停几辆好车
，估计是怕别的机场发现他们全是雪佛兰吧，但是只能订了 one way 才能拿
我还是抱着试试看的心态去了，到了之后发现果然全是雪佛兰。。。当时真的直接有取
消然后去隔壁 enterprise 的心了,至少他们是直营店。后来看到有稍微大一点点的
SUV 就算了。那车配置是低配，啥都没有。。
所以以后如果不是周一早上就要出差我还是去家旁边的 enterprise 吧，偶尔也能给个
full size 以上的车。(enterprise周日不开门，所以周日取车只能去机场)
我这的national简直就是砸自己牌子。。。不过如果飞别的机场还是以他们为主吧

一堆一堆的postdoc都是H1or J1身份，而且national lab办绿卡比较快。
如果转staff， 身份有帮助，但也绝对不是必要条件。 老美有优先这是真的。 如果你
们组里有老美，而且干得还不错，就算比你差点，他的机会也比你大。 |
