for less money. I know there are several MDs in that MD's lab. The Phd's

09年3月16号的早晨九点钟，当我点开来自NRMP的电邮 – Did I Match的时候，心和手
一起在颤抖。“Congratulation! You have matched” 真不敢相信，我居然match上了
。在第一时间给太太打电话，发觉自己的声音都是颤抖的。三天后的Where did I
match已经是无关紧要的了。能够match上对我，step1/2仅刚刚pass 80，来说已经是够
幸运的啦，去哪儿都是无所谓的。在一年多前我拿到step1的成绩时曾苦恼得来版面上
寻求建议，当时版面上的一个著名的粉牛粉牛的ID回了帖子说我几乎是没有希望了。
想想过去这些年我的烤板之路，怎么说呢？我是起个大早，赶了个晚集。一路走来，经
历了家庭、生活、和工作的种种变故，居然能够进入这一扇门，我应该感谢的是我太太
120%的支持，在一切一切的风风雨雨中不离不弃，咬牙坚持。这一句“Congratulation
! You have matched”是这么多年来我能够给她的最好的礼物！

now. there is a shuttle service to Monte from the apartments on campus.

发帖数: 9638 | 26 今天与一个ID attending在医院聊天， 她是印度FMG。 说起match， 她的经历可能对
大家有启发。
她在印度就考完了USMLE， 到美国是F2。 她给当地医学院的所有department老板发E-
mail， 问要不要medical assistent， 她不要工资。 结果就有一个内分泌老板要了她
。 她在一年中与3个内分泌attending混熟了， 得到了很好的推荐信， 她说推荐信起
了决定作用。
来美两年后她就match了， 一直都用签证。
其实她非常的一般， 有两次她犯了原则性错误， 我跟她说了， 她还不承认， 后来意
识到错了， 向我道歉， 我也没对任何人提起， 所以她对我很尊重。 但她有两个优势
， 一是语言，二是态度。
我想做observership时一方面要显示你的knowledge， 另一方面彰示你的好品性
personality。 写推荐信时， 说一个人很好，很可靠比说有知识， 有能力要容易现实
的多。 大牛们是不屑你所谓的才能的， 也不可能exaggerate your capability。 |

很多时候program喜欢熟悉的人就是因为知道这个人不是个A-hole。
medicine只要人不苯， 态度认真， 其他技能都是可以train的。 所以做observership
时候， 一定谦虚， 勤快。精神饱满，无论何时，遇到什么事情，不急，不燥，面带微
笑。program总是喜欢乐观，能handle stress 的人。 |

In fact many CMG got matched at their 2nd or even 3rd trial. However, I am
sure that externership/observership is a plus to your application but not a
guarantee to your match.
Sometimes all you need is a good luck in addition to your hard work! |

比较正规的PROGRAM。每天7：50AM-1：00PM。包括Morning Report, director rounds,
noon conference. PD比较重视教学，能学到不少东西。但看病人的机会少，每天只看
1-2个病人，也没什么机会看病历和FOLLOWUP病人。为期一月， FREE。结束后有LOR，
但要等一个月才能拿到信。

比较NICE的PROGRAM。据说有Hand-on experience. 但Waiting list超长。

发帖数: 371 | 45 祝贺楼主，第一年实习熬过去就爽了。
rad在amg的流行程度大大不如5-6年前，但是去年的统计数据step 1平均还是在240左右
，今年很多community program没有fill，有些program宁愿选择soap来接受一些申请其
他科室失败的人，因为amg申请的人不够填空的，总的来说我觉得现在对于img是个好机
会，如果有好的connection值得一试，个人感觉依然是一个很好的领域。我们这个州立
program，每年都招一些img，但是大部分都是要莫来做过轮转的，要莫就是在本地做了
一年实习。
一定要争取机会做acting internship (AI)或者observership，做rad的人一般不是那
么aggressive，所以轮转的时候把握好尺度，别太急于表现了，准备的时候主要把解剖
吃透，书可以好好读一下Felson's Principles of Chest Roentgenology，对于胸片/
ct入门很好，另外推荐Learning Radiology，有时间还可以看看Fundamentals of

A favorite question from Dr. Multz: "When is the last time you did lumbar puncture or blood gas draw?" (一定要准备好你的美国hands-on临床经验的证据和具体的细节)
If you are asked often to repeat yourself, you are not speaking clearly, and you need to improve it. A big problem for CMG's spoken English is confusing "he" and "she". Remember gender!

Dr. Mo, the Cardiologist whom I am shadowing, is a very busy doctor. I know
that he has a very tight schedule so I would like to go there early to
figure out where I am supposed to go and do for the day.
I met him in the cardiac cath lab at 730am. The first case that he did was a

Follow this pt.and read some textbooks, you will get good feelings about the
differential diagnosis for syncope pt, which some times is of little bit
troubles
for clinicians.......
