survey data里有上千的受访者，每个受访者对应一个sampling weight variable。我
只知道在stratified random sample里, 每个受访者被选到的概率是不一样的。这个
sampling weight=1/probability.
那么在我用统计软件run linear regression的时候，这么sampling weight variable
怎么用啊？
（1）先run linear regression里其他的independent variables without the
sampling weight variable,得到 linear regression equation之后再加进这个
sampling weight variable。
（2）run linear regression的时候就加上这个sampling weight variable。

no randomized sample. However, there is random sample, which most stat
analysis developed for.
It is hard to collect a random sample, since the population is not naturally
stratified by age here.
Assume they collected their original sample randomly,

如果我想设计一个实验，比较两组的survival rate,不给药的那一组（A)假设预计

(beta,y_star|y)的算法。这里假设 y = X*beta + epsilon，y_star是一个用来
truncation的parameter。据作者讲这样的sample会比直接sample p(beta|y）简单。但
是我看着很不过瘾。看完书以后对最重要的application没有直接的感性认识。请问有
没有高手给指点一本讲如何sample p(beta|y）的书？就是如何设计，证明一个

超过40个的可能性有多大？
我知道这题要用sample distribution来做。但是我总想用伯努力分布去解，
就是一项一项求B（x＝40）, B（x＝41）,B（x＝42），然后把他们加起来。
我感觉这样理解也是对的，但是我却把sample distribution 这个重要概念绕过了。
许多后面的讲解都直接建立在sample distribution之上，但我感觉sample
distribution在这道题上可有可无。 |
