continental grip. Learn the term "pronation" and watch pro's serve video to
find your swing curve.
The grip you suggest is called "fly flap" grip, its swing curve ends at the
right knee. Ooouch! It is much easier to learn but its power is limited.

It's fine to have serve grip between eastern and continental. That gives
you very flat serve. If you want to have a serve with more spin and kick,
you need to go more towards continental.
