I guess what you mean is that 1) a PPA cannot include claims; 2) NPA or RPA
cannot claim the priority of something not in the PPA.
On 1): I saw some patent attorney include very broad, unobtainable claims in
PPA, and argued that some foreign countries do not accept PPAs without
claims as priority document. Does that make sense?

For provisional application, no claim is needed, but doesn't hurt if you
throw in some. The claims
themselves are considered as disclosure as well. When you file non-
provisional, you can amend spec
and/or claims, as long as no new matters are added.
The nice thing about provisional is it gives you an earlier domestic filing
date, while you don't have to
shorten your patent term.

lien来威胁我们给剩下的钱。
现在在8月初，我们和对方初步达成的和解条款如下：
1：对方会release他们放在我们房子上的的lien。

1. 本行业一般都是一些医疗保险公司，疾病管理公司，医疗研究公司，医疗CONSULTING.一般都需要对CLAIMS DATA熟悉，有META DATA(OVER 1 MILLION RECORDS)的工作经验
2. 目前最好找工作的还是CRO。基本上市场上60%以上的工作都是CRO的工作。本行业的职位数可能和MARKETING，银行查不多。
3. 本行业一般招人都找QUANTITATIVE专业，如数学，统计，经济，CS。或MPH

左lane是可直行和右转。老公在左lane右转时被右lane违规直行的车撞上。
出事时天比较黑，右lane 只能右转的 sign 离出事地点有一定距离。警察来时错误判
定老公负主要责任，说是拐弯应让直行。老公当时不确定，所以没有和警察争论。
回家后给保险公司打电话 (全保），file claim.两天后发现有sign. 老公没有任何错

公司claim 但是老墨几个月来从不接听保险公司的电话，拒绝合作，所以对方保险公司
deny了。
因为是全保我也跟自己的保险公司claim了，车是修好了，但也掏了500的deductible
自己的保险公司和对方沟通也一直无果，现在新的保险账单出来了，半年的费用比之前
多了200多，如果我换一家保险公司的话是不是现在的保险公司就不会再管这个没有
settle down的case了？
我和自己保险公司的claim已经从普通的claim dept转到subrogation dept然后又从
subrogation dept转到collection dept 被告知collection dept会request a
suspension of license给对方司机，此外collection agency会和对方联系以要回损失。
请问这种情况最后能拿到钱的可能性大吗？还是就一直这样拖啊拖，基本没希望了啊？ |

事者。车子要修，我该claim我们自己的保险吗？ 我们是GEICO的。很好的驾驶记录。
以前还收到GEICO的信，说什么五年内，即使有accident by our fault,也不会提高
premium. 当时觉得没用，把信丢了，也没仔细看有什么fine print. LG不想也不敢
claim insurance, 他就怕premium会高上去。可是我觉得不claim白不claim,为什么要
自己花钱呢。

在Parking Lot,我先back，后来在rear camera里面看到了他慢慢在approching me，我
stopped car and horned，但是来不及，她已经撞上了。然后她给他的保险公司打了电
话，说是她的责任，我要了她的电话，名字还有Policy Number，本来觉得就这样了，
结果她老公一来了以后，事情完全变了一个说法。
她老公说，我们都在Back，没有责任说是他的责任，而且我的车没有damage，（她的车
有很多本身的刮痕）。我的车有没有damage，不好说，因为天黑了，然后又是银色，可
车子的确被她Hit了。。。她老公说，如果我file了Claim，他就会File back因为我
illegal claim，我的车没有任何问题。

。 我们都停下来。 LD也拍了照片， 打911， 等警察来。 期间白牛就想溜， ld不同
意。
这个时候来了个过路的警察， 然后悲催的事情就开始了。 因为是local主干道， 再加
上是rush hour， 这个过路的警察不处理case，不肯开report， 反而催着我们两个人
离开。 ld没有办法， 交换了保险。 白牛很快就溜了。
接上来开始claim， ld开始打白牛保险公司state farm的电话claim， state farm说白
牛一直不接电话， 偶尔一次打通也立刻就挂了。 然后这个claim就一直悬在那里。 我
们问claim的程序， 说是如果12天内， 电话联系不上， 就改成mail联系， 如果再联
系不上， 才能转到最后的agent手上做evaluate。
结果今天打电话问update， 说是还是联系不上。 而且估计保险公司也不准备赔， 因
为没有警察report。 说了半天意思就是， 白牛耍无赖， 所以我们也可以不管了。

情况是这样的。保险公司提到说对方也许会去small claim court因为保险公司觉得当
对方很persistent地断定是我爸的责任的时候对方有可能选择去small claim court,而
且对方本身没有任何保险可以cover。
我简单研究了一下，对方如果要去small claim court应该告的是driver (我爸)和
owner(我）。保险公司如果要去small claim court说他们会帮我准备好所有材料。

人开的家庭式小型房地产公司租的，然后住满搬走后他们扣了一半多的押金。但是因为
我们之前有过租房经验，所以包括initial inspection, final inspection，房屋打扫
，保护，我们都做的很好，不存在问题，之后跟租房公司沟通后他们只退了30刀，哈哈
。然后我们咨询了法律援助建议去small claim court，然后租房公司要求私下解决，
但是估计还是不退。详细情况大家帮我分析一下，看如果去small claim court的话有
没有把握，谢谢大家～
1.首先，clean扣了我们120刀，我们离开之前打扫的真的已经很干净很干净了。搬走前
一个礼拜他们发短信给我们说，让我们不用打扫，反正搬走后他们有专门的清洁公司来
打扫，我们回短信说我们还是打扫吧，不然你们有可能扣我们钱，然后他们再没回。结
果还是给扣了120，我们质询，他们说一般要三四百刀的，看你们收拾的还行就只扣了

回复一下当时的情景。我爸爸在自己lane开车，他是新手开得比较偏，但应该还在自己
lane。然后旁边lane某车从旁边蹭过。然后两车碰到了。
不太想和对方纠缠这种事情，不知道应付small claim court会有多麻烦。第一个问题
是父亲11月份回国，如果那个时候small claim court过来要求，如果因为要回国不能
应诉，会不会有什么不好的影响，譬如说影响父亲下次入境，或者需要我作为主体来应

得很热，虽然我还不算老，不是生病的年龄，不过为了保险还是去看了一下。
先去的Urgent care,X-ray照了一下腹部和胃部, co-pay:75；还给了两张图片放到光盘
里，让我带着去emergency room （实际上后来的医生根本就没看。。。）
然后去了ER,co-pay:200...就抽了个血，然后量血压之类的，你妹的等了6-7个小时，
然后说我血液指标都很正常，给我开了点治胃酸reflux,还有一个是通便之类的。。。
我觉得不是那个问题就没去买那些药。。。然后那个医生给refer了一个专家，肠胃科
的。
好不容易约了时间，去了以后听诊一下，然后就再约个时间做胃镜，在之前那个大医院
做的。同时又约了时间follow up results. co-pay:50； 做的时候注射了麻药，醒来
啥感觉都没有，本来我想自己走回去，他们非要一个人带我回去，实际上我已经很清醒
了。。。第二天感觉嗓子很疼，就和感冒了差不多。在等结果的期间，我吃饭也尽量吃

发帖数: 252 | 33 比较郁闷。去年一月份换的新工作，之前的地方dependent FSA 我们一年claim一次，
从来没有过问题；到了新的地方，也是今年年初file的claim，不料被denial了。结果
发现原来是新地方规定plan year是到七月底。所以十月底之前没有claim的都被公司收
了。
让人难过的是，这个表我只是当时 刚上班的时候填的，一开始就没有注意那个plan
year的时间，开始填的是5000刀每个plan year，结果发现一开始的paycheck被扣了很
多钱，发现不对劲，找business manager后改成2500刀，但是最后扣的是将近三千刀。
从头到尾，没有人提过FSA的claim要在十月底之前file，但是找HR的人，人家就说你填
的那张form上有forfeit的时间。
我上班的地方是个non－profit organization， pay的也很低。这笔钱丢了挺心疼的。
现在把我的问题贴上来，希望一个是如果有网友有类似的经历的话，分享一下处理的经
验。二是看到这个帖子以后不要犯和我类似的错误。刚上班的时候表格很多，都要看仔

1.Benefit里面写的max coverage per item $10,000 这个能多次claim吗？
比如我这次摔坏镜头了，修了500,下次又摔坏了又要修300，或者后来又被偷了，还能

2, 里面有一个规定The item was not reasonably cared for to prevent the
damage or theft。这个很模糊，如何界定？比如其实我是因为自己失手摔坏的，能否
说我摔坏镜头是因为三脚架质量问题，三脚架不稳自己倒了。这是合理的理由吗？
还有theft哪些情况有效，放在车里被偷了是否有效？镜头在邮寄的过程中，快递员放
在apartment门口被偷算吗？握在手中，被人当街抢劫，是否也算theft?

spouse, even if one of you did not work and/or had no income for the entire
tax year. This has the same tax benefit as if you were to claim a dependent.
Now, think about it. What's the point of claiming your spouse as your
dependent? Let's say you can claim her as your dependent, you cannot file "
married filing jointly" filing status. This means, you pay more taxes. Why
did you do that anyway??

Generally, you may not claim a married person as a dependent if they file a
joint return with their spouse. Also, to claim someone as a dependent, that
person must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. resident alien, U.S. national or

发帖数: 8496 | 41 It all depends on whether you will be audited, I guess. Some people even
claim their parents who stay < 180 days in US, or their US born kids who
live in China as dependents and no problem. At lease no problem until you
get audit.
This is not something IRS will have auto system to find a problem. (unlike
your not claiming or short-claiming 1099/W-2 or other info that IRS auto
system can find when banks and employers claim their taxes/expenses). |

treaty，但ＩＲＳ不买帐的话，会有什么后果？会被罚款吗？最近花了很多的时间在税
表上面，想快点将税表填完。如果只是重新填一份表的话，我还想试一试claim５００
０，如果有penalty的话，我就不claim了。 另外如果我现在先不claim那５０００的
tax treaty，等到了１０月份风向好转，我可以另填一份１０？？x把钱再要回来吗？

段标题是Student, Apprentices, Trainees, Teachers, Professors, and
Researchers Who Became Resident Aliens.
里面先提到
Generally, you must be a nonresident alien student ... in order to claim a
tax treaty exemption ... once you become a resident alien, you generally can
no longer claim a tax treaty exemption for this income.

加起来超过183天了，明年报税的时候可以claim as dependent么？还是说她必须至少
在申请绿卡才可能claim dependent？
如果可以claim，需要现在申请ITIN么？还是说想办法先搞到ITIN会方便报税的时候
claim as dependent？前一阵看了老帖http://www.mitbbs.com/article_t/TAX/31199711.html，发现现在银行都不给寄信要求社会安全号以便向IRS申报利息了。这样如果直接递交W-7，IRS会批么？
另外，以要申请绿卡为由直接申请SSN可以么？

有符合做你dependent的条件的人的罚款负责，而不只是你claim的那些。 |

只要不在税表上claim为dependent，我不相信美国政府会去无聊到去出入境数据库逐个
查那么多的visitor，然后给他们逐个run substantial test然后看要不要罚款，本来
obamacare的主要目标就是在美国定居的人，只不过以前我们中国人找到一个漏洞可以
把来探亲的父母claim dependent然后避税罢了 |

qualify。但是我查的Qualifying children：

第一作者的review paper，当然请的是老板。
Journal 的主页上有一些吹嘘的字句，也算是hard evidence，应该就不用出什么鬼证
明信了。
与一般不疼不痒的review不太一样，这个要从reference里列出几个recommended
reading, 打分为"special interest" or "outstanding interest", 还假模假样的
加一些评语，有点类似 Faculty of 1000。
还没有听说有人用review article claim 这一项的，请大家给点意见。
从本质上讲，claim的材料必须要说明你的judgement是有consequence和
responsibility的， 是不是这样啊？比如manuscript的review就说接受了还是据了的。这个可以说平分高的paper会大大增加影响力？
