前面的有些讨论帖子恰恰看出了很多德州或者休斯顿的人土鳖的要命，整天关在一个破
德州意淫的不行。 其实和外面的外州那些好大学一比，那些A&M, Rice之流根本上不了
台面（对UT Austin,本人还是有些尊敬感的！）
就比下Rice和USC吧。
－ 硕士班， 的确USC招的有点过多，要求不高。但是作为一个收费项目，也是可以理
解。（很多私立大学比如哥大，纽约大学等，入学门槛照样不高！）
－本科招生。在US NEWS的本科排名， Rice排19 （数据见下面）, USC排25名。

重新读材料学phd。主要是发现Material Science的master很难找工作，另外没有博士
学位也是我心里的一个伤痛。请问有人了解Rice或者UT Austin的Material Science
phd program吗？毕业生在houston是否容易找工作呢？谢谢！
BTW，我本科是国内名校的物理专业，GPA还行（不是大牛）。刚刚重新考了GRE，分数
相当

发帖数: 87 | 24 宝宝八个月了，五个半月开始加辅食，首先吃的是rice cereal,一天吃一次，从第二个
星期开始拉肚子，一天拉四到五次，大便基本是水状，拉了一个星期后，没看见有好转
的迹象就停喂了rice cereal,改喂苹果泥和香蕉泥，拉肚子就好了，之后喂过各种一段
的辅食（除了rice cereal)，都没有再拉肚子，直到七个半月，觉得宝宝大些了，消化
能力应该增强些，所以又试喂了一次cereal,这次是multi grain 的，有rice, wheat
和oat,没想到这次反应更严重，吃过了三小时后开始呕吐，一天总共吐了四次，把胆汁
都吐出来了。儿医说象是对rice cereal过敏，推荐去看allergist,昨天allergist看了
，说是FPIES( Food Protein-Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome)，大意就是不能消化
rice cereal,解决办法就是三岁以内都不要喂rice 或者其它grain类的东西。这个解决
办法太让我无语了，只有到宝宝版来求助，希望有经验的妈妈可以帮帮我。 |

， 如果不喜欢有些油腻的fried rice, 要吃stream rice, 可以自己选择要white rice
还是brown rice.
brown rice 比一般白米饭有更多fiber, 而且吃过后血糖升的慢， 吃久了味
道也越来越觉得好吃。 看来美国的快餐也越来越健康了。

他最大的失误，而且是失误连连，就是球员的续约问题。
比如Flacco，上赛季之前双方谈得差不多了，6年的合同，平均17M/y，但是Ozzie非要
把其中的1M改成incentive，以passing yard做标准。Flacco不同意，结果崩了。后果
是20.1M/y。20M/y本身没有问题，因为事已至此没有选择，乌鸦不给自有别的球队给。
当然事后诸葛亮可以说如果事先续约Flacco,可能就没有之后的superbowl了
再比如说Ray Rice的合同。之前我提到了Rice的合同碰都不能碰，因为合同做得太差了。
对于每一个GM来说，RB合同的精髓就是压低guaranteed money，增加3年之后的操作空
间。因为大家都知道RB的水平是一年一个样，三年大变样。所以合同的总长度还有总额
，尤其是最后几年的非保障工资都是假的。球队什么时候可以摆脱这个合同是唯一重要
的因素。保障性工资比例越高，裁员造成的dead money就越多。

cup)
If you like to eat healthy, make you get one with gaba brown rice cooking
feature.
Pressure rice cooker does make a difference (higher temp).
The best tasting rice I found so far is this. (using sushi cycle)
If you get a good rice cooker, make sure you get better rice, otherwise you

我理解的brown rice比white rice营养好多了，只不过能量低些，不含那么多淀粉。
我们ped还推荐吃brown rice呢。
